A gently undulating walk starting from Effingham Junction station. The route passes through woodland, farmland and over several commons.

Start point:Effingham Junction train station (note: Effingham Junction is one and a half miles from the village of Effingham)

Typical time:Allow at least two hours
Footwear:Stout shoes, boots. Parts of the walk can be muddy, and wellingtons are recommended in winter.

Parking:There is a pay and display car park at the station.
Facilities and Refreshments:There are no pubs or shops along the route. If you wish to detour into Effingham village, follow Water Lane south from point 6 and turn right along Lower Road to pass Howard of Effingham school. The Plough pub and Sir Douglas Haig Hotel are near the junction with the Street.
