Apply for or renew a Blue Badge

Visit our eligibility page to determine if you are automatically eligible for a Blue Badge before applying online.

Once you have completed and submitted your online application you will receive an email with further instructions.  These instructions include where and how to send in your proof of identity, proof of address and any additional information such as a recently dated Disability Living Allowance statement.

Once we have received your application we will email you if we need any more information, or if we decide you need a walking assessment.  We will be in contact to let you know if your application has not been successful.  You can track the status of your online application, using the website.

How to renew a Blue Badge

When your current badge is nearing expiry you will need to re-apply to the local issuing authority where you live.  All local authorities follow the same guidelines, however they may deal with your application in a different way and you may be asked to attend a walking assessment. It is therefore advisable to apply at least six weeks before your badge expires.
